Project Summary

Lean Horizons Consulting helped a $9 billion aerospace and controls manufacturer to engage the principles, disciplines and techniques of Lean to focus on its imperatives and reverse a three-year downward spiral in revenue and profitability. Through strategic deployment, Lean Horizons Consulting aligned the organization around “vital few” actions for achieving breakthrough organic growth. By transforming the dealer acquisition process and aligning the deployment of the business unit’s strategy with personnel appraisals, the organization, in effect, integrated company and personal incentives. Appropriate actions defined by a renewed focus and fact-based strategy, created substantial value: 23% increase in revenue in year one, 30% increase in sales, 44 new dealers signed in year one, lead time to first new dealer order reduced by 60%, common dealer acquisition process implemented across all European countries.
