Jorge Barron Bio
Jorge Barron is an Associate Partner with Lean Horizons Consulting. He has been involved in the development and implementation of Lean for the past fifteen (15) years. He received his training from Japanese Sensei’s, experts in the Toyota Production System and certified in Japanese problem solving by AOTS in Japan and is a certified examiner for the Shingo Prize.
Mr. Barron’s exposure to Lean started in Allied Signal Brake Division in 1988 where he was the Director for Continuous Improvement, and part of the core team responsible for the corporate implementation. There, he implemented Lean across four manufacturing sites in North America.
Mr. Barron was also the Director of Global Operations for the Kaizen Institute North America where he led multiple global transformation processes.
Mr. Barron has been focusing on Lean strategy as a consultant for the last 10 years for Fortune 500 corporations. He has implemented Lean Strategy and Cultural Development Processes in over 18 different countries including USA, UK, Spain, Russia, Mexico, Brazil, Panama, Australia, among other countries. His core competencies are implementing lean in supply chain as well in non manufacturing business sectors.
Mr. Barron’s consulting experience includes:
- GE Money Lead Account Manager for South America. Implementation of Kaizen for SME loans and Credit Cards processes.
- Allergan: Implement Lean Strategy in Research & Development and IS divisions focused on Product Life Cycle Lead Time reduction.
- Johnson Controls; Implement Pull System for over 6 years in 8 different operations across North America.
- Molex; Administrative and Manufacturing Gemba Kaizen, New Product Introduction, Logistics and Material Management.
- Trek Bikes; Strategy Deployment and implementation for three years, resulting in improvement competitiveness and reduce cost to maintain operations in the US.
- Nestle: Supply Chain Management. Lead account Manager for the Americas.
Mr. Barron has an undergraduate degree in Industrial engineering from Monterey Tech and an MBA from Loyola University in New Orleans.
